Employee Benefit Adviser Shares ADP’s 6 Ways to Encourage Teamwork

Employee Benefit Adviser published an article by Aldor H. Delp, division vice president and general manager of ADPResource®, titled “6 Ways to Encourage Teamwork Among Employees,” which suggests six approaches leaders can use to help employees recognize and hone the power of collaboration in their everyday work lives. “As a business leader, there are natural moments in time to help employees practice their collaboration skills so that when the time comes to call on that ability, they can collaborate quickly and effectively to get the job done. Through the normal rhythm of the work day, employees have natural places of interaction that can serve as teaching moments and enable them to practice collaboration.” Read the entire article at Employee Benefit Adviser. USA Today Highlights Workforce Vitality Report Data

USA Today Highlights Workforce Vitality Report Data

In an article titled “Tight labor market giving more Americans career clout,” USA Today leverages recent ADP Research Institute data from our Workforce Vitality Report highlighting that the tightening labor market is creating an opportunity for job switchers to increase their wages. “About half a million U.S. workers left one job for another in the fourth quarter, up from 406,000 in the same period in 2015 and 365,000 two years ago, according to estimates by private payroll processor ADP. That trend largely has been reported by the Labor Department and reflects a more vibrant job market. But ADP, which, unlike Labor, can track employees as they move among jobs, also finds that more of them are shifting into new sectors, such as a marketing manager who leaves retail for finance. In eight of the 10 major industries tracked by ADP, the share of job-switchers who came from a different industry increased from late 2014 to late 2016 while the share swapping jobs within the same industry fell. That’s up...

Retailers: Are you Optimizing your Workforce?

Retailers: Are you Optimizing your Workforce?

In today’s hyper-competitive and complex retail business environment, employers need an edge. Having the right people, in the right place, at the right time can make or break the success of your retail location. But that’s easier said than done when you’re busy dealing with growing competition, shrinking margins and providing customers with a stellar brand experience. From inaccurate planning and missed sales opportunities to reputational damage, when your scheduling doesn’t match demand, the customer experience suffers — and so does your bottom line. Without the right data-driven management practices in place, it’s hard to sustain a loyal employee team focused relentlessly on customers. Consider what happens when you don’t align employee schedules to customer demand: Understaffing leads to long lines and unhappy customers. Ultimately, sales can suffer. On the other hand, with too many employees, you can exceed your payroll budget and miss the mark on productivity goals. Join us for a webinar on March 1 to learn how to better optimize your workforce. The webinar will be...

Closing the Gap: Using Data to Achieve Internal and External Pay Equity

Closing the Gap: Using Data to Achieve Internal and External Pay Equity

Achieving pay equity is top-of-mind for organizations, especially in light of increased scrutiny and enforcement from the Equal Employment Opportunity Commission (EEOC) and Office of Federal Contract Compliance Programs (OFCCP). Pay equity is also necessary to support various business goals for leaders as an essential part of effective human capital management. The complexities in the regulations and the sheer amount of pay data that exists – internally in every company and externally in the market – can make it difficult for leaders to develop policies to promote and realize pay equity. On February 28th, join our panel of experts who will delve deeper into Bloomberg BNA and ADP’s conversation surrounding the role of human capital management in enterprise value. Our speakers will discuss how to manage and utilize the data you have available to you in order to meet your goal of pay equity, answering questions including: What does pay equity mean, and how does it benefit your business beyond just regulatory compliance? How do you measure internal versus...

ADP Named to List of “World’s Most Admired Companies” by FORTUNE for Eleventh Year

Today, FORTUNE® magazine published its “World’s Most Admired Companies” list for 2017, which recognizes companies who have a strong corporate reputation among their peer set. I’m proud that ADP made the list for the eleventh year in a row. We also ranked #1 in the Financial Data Services industry category for the fifth consecutive year, which specifically considers how we are regarded for what we do. Placement on this list is an honor – and a testament to our commitment to excellence and continuous innovation throughout all aspects of who we are and how we serve our clients. It is also quite humbling, as the title is given based on feedback from executives, directors and analysts from the companies we work with, and criteria spans from investment value to social responsibility. This recognition would not be possible without the dedication of our associates, who work every day to put our corporate philosophy into practice. I am incredibly proud to be part of a team that strives to be the...
