Marc Rind on Benchmarking: An Important Tool in the War for Talent

Marc Rind on Benchmarking: An Important Tool in the War for Talent

HR Daily Advisor recently published a bylined article by Marc Rind, VP of Product Development and Chief Data Scientist titled, “Benchmarking: An Important Tool in the War for Talent.” It discusses how the insights generated from benchmarking can help employers attract and retain skilled talent in today’s tightening labor market. In the article Rind says, “It’s no secret we are living in a job seeker’s market. With unemployment at a 16-year low, the risk of employees considering other job opportunities is high. In fact, the ADP Workforce Vitality Report found that job switching in the U.S. during the 3rd quarter of 2017 was 27% – an all-time high. Additionally, nearly two-thirds of the global workforce is actively or passively seeking new job opportunities, according to the ADP Research Institute’s study, The Evolution of Work 2.0.” Rind also discusses that as the world of work evolves, so are benchmarking tools. He says that benchmarking was done very broadly in the past but today’s tools include a vast array of job...

ADP Benefits: Striving Ahead for Industry and User Benefit

ADP Benefits: Striving Ahead for Industry and User Benefit

By Will Giaconia, VP Benefits Administration As members of the Life Insurance Marketing and Research Association (or LIMRA) electronic data exchange (EDI) working group, alongside Prudential, we are at the forefront of data exchange methodologies and standards. However, it is our latest collaboration with Prudential that we hope will help LIMRA and the EDI working group develop industry standards that benefit everyone. Especially employers and their employees. For much of the insurance industry, evidence of insurability (or EOI) is a critical element, helping employers and carriers ensure that only eligible employees and dependents participate, and helping to keep cost and choice optimized for employees. However, the data exchange processes around this are often outdated, inefficient and can get in the way of these objectives. Together with Prudential, we are changing this. By working together to create real time integration, we hope to eliminate the delays and headaches associated with EOI processing. We believe this is the future of EOI data exchange and are truly excited to be partnering with...

Innovating to Address the Changing Workforce, How Work Gets Done, and How Workers Get Paid

By Doug Politi, president, Compliance Solutions ADP pays more than 26 million workers in the U.S. and more than 13 million workers elsewhere. With that responsibility our clients look to us as the market leader for solutions that help them better manage and engage with their entire workforce. Today’s announcement about the acquisition of WorkMarket, and our recent acquisition of Global Cash Card, demonstrates our commitment to help prepare our clients for new trends in the workforce and shows how we are a first-mover in the HCM marketplace. A few months ago we announced the acquisition of Global Cash Card. With this acquisition we expanded our ability to offer digital payments, including paycards and other flexible payment offerings. We became the only human capital management provider with a proprietary digital payments processing platform, allowing us to offer digital accounts and flexible payment offerings across our base of more than 700,000 clients, while increasing the speed of implementation for new clients. The functionality of digital accounts, including paycards, and ease...

ADP Benefits: Helping You See the Road Ahead

ADP Benefits: Helping You See the Road Ahead

By Kent Rausch, Senior Director of Product, ADP Benefits Would you drive your car along the highway at night without any lights on? Me neither. Simple common sense dictates that this would not be safe or advisable. And yet, oftentimes when it comes to planning and delivering benefits strategy, employers are left out in the dark without key insights into why employees made the enrollment decisions they did (i.e. driving in the dark without your lights on). Up to now, benefit administration systems have given data and insight around what benefits were chosen and by whom. But without the ‘why’ and accompanying behavioral insights, the ‘what’ and ‘who’ is of limited value. Just like driving along in the dark without headlights. Furthermore, benefits enrollment benchmarking data around these behavioral insights has been non-existent. In real terms, benefits strategies have been planned and delivered in 2D, when we all know the world is much more complex. Consider the following example: You’re a retailer with stores in many states. You have...
