ADP’s Sreeni Kutam Talks Talent Activation and StandOut on Nasdaq’s TradeTalks

Sreeni Kutam, interim chief human resources officer at ADP, recently appeared on Nasdaq’s TradeTalks to share his insights on talent activation and StandOut® powered by ADP. In a video interview with Nasdaq host Jill Malandrino, Kutam highlighted that top talent can bring a ten times difference to an organization’s performance. “If you have the right people, you don’t have to manage them,” said Kutam. “You just need to get the heck out of their way because they already know what to do. Talent activation is a unique way of leveraging each person’s strengths so an organization can achieve the optimal level of performance.” According to Kutam, employee engagement is a two way street. While leaders play a role in engagement, the individual also has a responsibility to find purpose in how they contribute to the organization. By using talent activation solutions like StandOut, both managers and associates learn their top strengths and how to leverage them to be more effective and feel more engaged. PS Logistics is a full-service transportation company, with over 2,000 flatbed assets. Vice President of Human Resources, Kimberley Daigle leads a three person HR team that is responsible for 3,000 employees. Through the years, PS Logistics has experienced rapid growth, both organically and through acquisitions. However, this growth came with several challenges. Daigle says, “Before we implemented ADP Vantage HCM, we had 25 different systems that all housed HR information. Even the systems we had implemented into our business couldn’t cross-relate personnel files. As you’d imagine, this created significant difficulties for us to manage the workforce in a centralized fashion. When we decided to go with ADP Vantage HCM, we knew we wanted to clean all of that up. And we needed help to accomplish this. With ADP Vantage HCM and the best practices platform, we received guidance on how to create a main source for all of our data.” She continues, “We previously had a broken system for recruitment and onboarding office personnel. That has been fixed with...

Helping Employees Excel at Work with StandOut

Helping Employees Excel at Work with StandOut

By Sreeni Kutam, Interim Chief Human Resources Officer Wouldn’t it be great if you came to work each day knowing that you’d be able to tap into your strengths and focus on activities that you can truly excel at? How engaged and excited to come to work would you feel? When you consider that job hopping is at an all-time high, it’s now more important than ever that organizations focus on ways to develop and engage their top talent. Think about what’s at stake. According to 2017 Gallup® research, high employee engagement leads to 21 percent higher profitability, 20 percent higher sales, 70 percent reduction in safety incidents, and 24 percent lower turnover. So how do we help employees feel excited and engaged? From my vantage point, personal engagement is a combination of what I contribute to the organization and how the organization contributes to my success. Because of its dual nature, it’s important for employees to understand their own contribution to this cycle. My contribution doesn’t necessarily have...
