Inc.com Features ADP on Five Keys to Creating a Culture That Stands Apart

What’s the X Factor that sets one business apart from the others? Is it offering the right service at the right time? People who are dedicated and engaged in working toward success? Customers that advocate for your business? These are all important, yet, you could have all these things going for you and still fail. So what’s the real secret to success? I recently talked to three business leaders who shared their lessons for identifying the X factor that can set your business and culture apart. People are one of the most important factors in any business. They’re the ones making decisions that impact customers, and they’re the ones who determine whether your culture exists on paper, or in real life. Hiring the right people and managing them so they can do their best work are critical to the success of any business. But, if it’s so foundational, why do so many organizations struggle with it? Talent Management Made Easy at Reading Cooperative Bank with ADP Workforce Now®

Talent Management Made Easy at Reading Cooperative Bank with ADP Workforce Now®

Reading Cooperative Bank (RCB), founded in 1886, is a 21st century bank with traditional values, committed to putting people over profits. And the employees and customers of the bank actually own it! Maxine Hart, chief human resources officer (CHRO) faced the challenge of acquiring new talent in their diverse socio-economic communities. “The challenge, obviously, is that the talent we bring in and the types of processes we use in some of the communities that we serve are not the same as those we use for a more traditional branch. Recruitment was a cumbersome process, which really left the HR team bogged down with the volume of candidates, many of whom were really not qualified for the role.” Then RCB discovered ADP Workforce Now®, which has completely changed the way that the bank manages recruiting, talent acquisition, payroll and benefits for their workforce. Get the full story on how ADP Workforce Now® helped RCB streamline their recruiting and benefits administration practices. Share this:Click to email (Opens in new window)Click to...

It’s National Payroll Week: Here’s Everything You Need to Know

With National Payroll Week, the American Payroll Association (APA) annually celebrates the relationship between workers, businesses and payroll professionals. ADP Legislative Update: New House Bill Could Make WOTC Permanent

ADP Legislative Update: New House Bill Could Make WOTC Permanent

On August 11, 2017, House of Representatives (H.R.) Bill 3652 was introduced and, if passed, would amend the Internal Revenue Code to make the Work Opportunity Tax Credit (WOTC) permanent for qualified new hires who begin work after December 31, 2019. What you need to know: The Bill has officially moved to the House Ways & Means Committee for consideration. With processes to reform the tax code scheduled to begin in September, the Ways & Means Committee may be delayed in considering H.R. Bill 3652. The Congressional Joint Committee on Taxation (JCT) will need to score this legislation and estimate its cost over a 10 year period—it’s unlikely we’d see a vote without this information.
