ADP SmartCompliance® Builds a Better Experience for Employers That Offer the ALINE Card by ADP®

ADP SmartCompliance® Builds a Better Experience for Employers That Offer the ALINE Card by ADP®

By Gary Lott, Division Vice President and General Manager of Wage Payments Added Value Services Payroll cards continue to grow in popularity and many companies already are experiencing the potential cost savings and payroll flexibility that a more electronic payroll process can deliver to their workforce. But sometimes administering payroll card programs can be a bit cumbersome and time-consuming for employers because it requires them to toggle between a few online administration tools. That’s all changed for employers that offer the ALINE Card. To help improve the payroll card administration experience for its clients, ADP® has moved key functions of the ALINE Card into the ADP SmartCompliance platform. Previously, employers that offered the card to their employees had to manage the ALINE Card or the fully electronic pay solution, ALINE Pay by ADP®, through the Visa® Prepaid Administration Tool (PAT). To help streamline the electronic payroll process, ADP has moved core PAT functions, such as enrollment, funding, inventory management and reporting to ADP SmartCompliance. Specifically, employers now can use...

Which Hat is it Today? ADP Study Finds 1.5 Million U.S. Small Businesses Spend Billions to Manage HR as an ‘Ad Hoc’ Function, Increasing Business Risk

By Brian Michaud, Senior Vice President, ADP TotalSource® Small business owners and their employees wear a lot of hats. One day it’s sales maven, the next it’s marketing guru or back-office ace. It seems to be the nature of the beast. But that approach – especially for small business owners who already push the boundaries of a 24-hour day with limited resources – has a startling downside and tangible hidden cost, according to a recent ADP® study. The study indicates that as many as 70 percent of small businesses in the United States – which equates to potentially 1.5 million of them – handle the human resources (HR) function with staff members who manage it on an “ad-hoc” basis in addition to their primary job. The study also shows that these ad-hoc HR managers spend more than 13 hours a week on average on human resources tasks, taking significant time away from their core responsibilities. Based on this time spent and the average wage of a small business employee,...

Business Insider Leverages the ADP Workforce Vitality Report to Show that Job Switchers Earn More Money

Business Insider has published an article titled, “The key to earning more money may be switching jobs — and this chart proves it,” which utilizes ADP Workforce Vitality Report data to highlight how job switchers often fair better than job holders when it comes to wage growth. “Employees who changed jobs earned about 1% more year-over-year than those who stayed with the same employer. That might not make a huge difference for one year, but it could add up to hundreds of thousands of dollars of lost wages over the course of your career.” Read the full article and view the chart here: Business...

ADP Included in Fortune’s List of 25 Best Places to Work in New York

Fortune published a list of the 25 best workplaces in New York, featuring ADP, ranked #19. The company wants you to be able to focus on your job to do it well, and does everything it can to accommodate all other aspects of your life in order to make it easier on you to do that. I find it so easy to come to work and I actually want to go above and beyond for this company because...
