We saw continued strength in regional hiring for the start of 2018. The bulk of jobs were added in the service-providing sector, with trade posting significant gains, according to the ADP Regional Employment Report. While the goods-producing sector was strong in many areas, it declined in Illinois and New York.

- California added 33,300 jobs
- Florida added 18,100 jobs
- Illinois added 8,100 jobs
- New Jersey added 6,400 jobs
- New York added 12,400 jobs
- Texas added 28,800 jobs
