By Todd Horvath, President of ADP’s Multinational Clients business
Hola i una salutació des de Barcelona!
How can HR leaders drive a global business impact by transforming the way the world works?
That’s one of the questions top-level executives from some of the world’s largest multinational companies are looking to address at our ADP® Rethink Global HCM Conference.
Our annual event kicked off yesterday in Barcelona, Spain, with more than 235 clients and prospects in attendance. That’s our largest showing in the 13 years we’ve been hosting the event!
Guests taking virtual reality tours at Rethink Central
After taking a walk through “Rethink Central” and getting a hands-on tour of ADP’s latest product innovations, attendees headed to the welcome reception at the MNAC, the national museum of Catalan visual art, where they had time to network while enjoying some exquisite art, Catalan cuisine and entertainment. They also got to hear from a new addition to our ADP family, Marcus Buckingham, noted author, speaker and new co-head of the ADP Research Institute®.

Many of the attendees I’ve been speaking with are eager to share their global perspectives on managing and cultivating talent across the globe and hear from industry thought leaders, including Laszlo Bock, former SVP of People Operations at Google® and author of “Work Rules!”, Robert Armstrong, Chief Editorial Writer at the Financial Times, and Tim Leberecht, entrepreneur, coach and author of “The Business Romantic: Give Everything, Quantify Nothing, and Create Something Greater Than Yourself.”
Plus, we’ll be hearing from Amal Clooney, International Law and Human Rights Expert who will be interviewed on stage by her father-in-law, award-winning journalist, Nick Clooney.
The lineup today promises to be exciting as HR leaders from Pfizer®, IBM®, United Technologies and American Express® take the stage to share their best practices in global payroll, talent acquisition, and HR and payroll integration. I’m looking forward to it personally!
Regardless of the industry in which these top HR leaders operate, it’s apparent that many of them encounter the same challenges — growing and engaging talent, building their brand, having a solid data foundation and managing local compliance requirements in multiple countries.
Stay tuned for more of the key takeaways from our client presentations, keynote speakers and ADP thought leaders as the event unfolds!
