One of the reasons I am proud to work at ADP is our unwavering focus on providing a workplace that values each individual and enables associates to reach their full potential. The diverse experiences, perspectives, ideas, and backgrounds of our associates are essential in helping ADP deliver great service to our clients and maintain a competitive edge.
According to the 2015 Bureau of Labor Statistics, nearly 70% of mothers of children under age 18 are working or looking for work. Given that, there’s little doubt that working moms, play a critical role in advancing our economy and our own company’s growth. Considering the impact that women, in particular working moms, have on our business, nurturing a culture of inclusion that enables ADP to leverage the collective talent of multicultural women is not only the right thing to do, but a business imperative.
ADP is honored to make the 2016 list for Working Mother Best Companies for Multicultural Women. This is a great achievement made possible by the commitment of our leaders, employee resource groups, and all our diversity champions.
As Chief Diversity and Corporate Social Responsibility Officer at ADP (and a working mother), I believe a key enabler to balancing work, life, and family is in working for a supportive employer that embraces diversity and inclusion. At ADP, we have a number of policies and practices centered around flexibility, mobility and performance that allow working parents to meet their professional and personal demands. We have thousands of associates whose office is their home, and many more who telecommute part of the time. A performance-driven culture allows for the quality of the work and results achieved to drive assessments vs. where the work is performed. This approach is helpful in balancing those unexpected challenges that working moms often deal with. Other helpful and convenient benefits like back-up day care, an onsite medical facility, access to an employee assistance program are great ways in which we support working moms.
The mothers and women who contribute their unique talents and backgrounds to ADP are key in helping us deliver the industry-leading services and solutions that help our clients reach their goals.
